Players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons can now look forward to a new update, which will include the long-awaited return of Brewster, after a long period of anticipation. Nintendo teased the character and his café during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, but rumors of Brewster’s arrival in New Horizons have been circulating for several weeks as a result of the dissemination of datamined information about the character.

Earlier this month, Twitter user and Nintendo leaker Samus Hunter shared their own insider information about the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons update, giving the information contained in the alleged leak yet another boost. Nobody was surprised when Nintendo, to their credit, refused to confirm the claim. However, thanks to the most recent Direct stream, fans can rest assured that the wait for a new batch of New Horizons content will soon come to an end.

During today’s September Direct, a teaser for Animal Crossing: New Horizons was shown for a very brief period of time. Nintendo also announced that a New Horizons-focused Direct will be broadcast in October, in addition to the brief video. As of this writing, no specific date or time has been publicly announced for the event.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf has received an update. New Horizons has been in the works for quite some time. Fans had high expectations for the upcoming E3 in 2021 as well. Unfortunately, those expectations were dashed when the widely popular title in question didn’t even receive a passing nod in the program.

The publisher, on the other hand, appears to be cooking up something special. And, with Brewster on board, it’s likely that Animal Crossing fans will be in for a substantial amount of new content. The character of Brewster has appeared in a number of other games over the years, and his café is always open to any and all players on the lookout for good coffee. As you can see in the brief teaser trailer above, Brewster and The Roost will serve a similar function in the critically acclaimed New Horizons series.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will have a slew of new features when it launches in October 2021, including DIY recipes, events, and new critters to befriend and capture. Everything begins on October 1st, and the events will continue to drop in at various times throughout the month of October. The ACNH Halloween event in Animal Crossing is one of the most exciting seasonal features of the game, and Jack and his crew will be back on the island once more for the occasion.

Other changes to Animal Crossing: New Horizons that will take place in October include the decorations outside of Nook’s Cranny and the inventory of the Able Sisters. After purchasing the items, you can use mirrors to customize the appearance of any character. Every day, they will have something new to add to their stock of merchandise.

Announcing that pumpkins can now be grown throughout the island, Isabelle kicks off the October update with an announcement that goes out to the entire island. Each and every October DIY recipe in Animal Crossing: New Horizons calls for the use of pumpkins, and starter kits can be purchased at Nook’s Cranny for a small fee. For the month of October, candy is the seasonal currency, and it can be obtained in a limited quantity for 120 Bells at Nook’s Cranny or received as a gift from the Villagers.
